I like to paint, draw and print, and I am often inspired by the landscape of Maine.    I  begin with my sketch or photographs, and begin with a realistic scene which abstracts with my own impressions and expressions.   I’m more interested in portraying the atmosphere than details.  

An artist all of my life, I have lived and been educated in Art Studio and Art History in the Midwest, in Alabama and in Maine.  I’ve studied in several workshops since 1993 at The Haystack Mountain School, Little Deer Isle, Maine.
